Cynthia is a Buckeye at heart! She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. She obtained her Bachelor and Master's Degrees from The University of Akron. Cynthia's career began as an educator teaching secondary school and higher education. Cynthia's first teaching position was with Brunswick City Schools. She has also instructed at Kent State and Akron University's community colleges. She moved on into corporate training and development and worked for American Express in Phoenix, AZ. She then returned to Ohio to complete her master's degrees in Community Counseling (with certification as a school counselor) and Technical Education. Cynthia has worked for the Cuyahoga Falls and Streetsboro School Systems as a high school guidance counselor. She then gained experience as a Crisis Counselor working providing crisis intervention services in the communities of Wayne County. Cynthia relocated to Wickenburg, Arizona to work as a Primary Therapist at both Remuda Ranch (once a world renowned treatment center for eating disorders) and The Meadows, a world renowned addictions treatment center. Eventually, Cynthia moved into private practice where she utilizes her skills and experience in both education and counseling to provide optimal treatment.
Cynthia's family is in the Akron area and she is in the area often and available to provide ongoing therapy to clients living in Ohio. An office has not yet been established but will be shortly and likely in the Bath/Montrose/Fairlawn area convenient to most suburbs south of Cleveland.
There are very few trained and experienced sex addiction and betrayal trauma therapists in Ohio which is why Cynthia has decided to offer her services there as well.
Cynthia will provide both in-person and telehealth services to those living in Ohio.
